The event, which is a philanthropic endeavor for Pi Kappa Alpha, raises money each year for the Weakley County Reading Railroad, a non-profit organization that provides free books to children from birth to age five.

    A class is held in the UTM TV studio located in the newly converted dining hall, now the Communications Building. Currently home to the studio of WLJT-DTV, this building was built in 1934 and served as the college cafeteria until the mid-1960s.
